I have the same pattern and the same fabric and had the same idea-until I realised that I didn't have quite enough of this lovely fabric to carry off my idea. It looks lovely. Weep that I can't have too.
I've not jumped on the cape bandwagon, but yours could change my mind...love this version!
I LOVE THIS CAPE. This may be my favourite thing you've sewn...it's just absolutely stunning and the fabric is so worth it. It looks so soft. Great job on the collar. This is also my favourite kind of cape (button-up vest with cape sides and big collar). It reminds me of the 1935 cape I made! Ok, now I want to make another cape :)
Rachel..I absolutely love this cape. You did a wonderful job.. I thought you had bought it..Perfect!! The color is great on you too.. Happy sewing.bty...your friend [cherry lane]..is sweet and has a really pretty blog.. Thanks for sharing her blog .
10 hours work - that is just amazing!!! And the end result is a one-of-a-kind never to be repeated cape - well done!!!
